September 3, 2008 -- After having read only four or six chapters of The Catcher in the Rye, what are your thoughts and feelings about Holden Caulfield? What are some of his personality traits, both positive and negative? What about his attitude? How would you evaluate his decision-making process?
In other words, what do you think of Holden at this point in your reading?

September 9-15 -- As we finish the reading of The Catcher in the Rye, we need to start thinking about stating the themes of the novel. What do you think this novel is all about? What is the point of the book? How do you know? What evidence is provided?

October 16-19 -- Respond to one of the statements on The Crucible anticipation/reaction guide. You have already marked if you agree or disagree, so now write about why you chose as you did for one of the statements. What were thinking as you made your choice? Or you might write a personal reaction to one of the statements.

February 23 -- Nominate at least one of the podcasts for a National Association of Broadcasters Crystal Radio Awards. Of course, this will need to be an award for one of the podcasts you have listened to. To make this process more creative, we will make up our own awards. Possibilities might include "The Wacky Like Robin Williams Award," "Best Use of Sound Effects," "Most Emotional Broadcast," "Most Creative Use of the Facts," and whatever else you come up with. Write a paragraph on our wiki discussion page to nominate a podcast for an original award. You are expected to supply reasons as to why the podcast nominated should receive the award.
